2026 Mason Sun Dried Music Festival

Celebrate the 17th Annual Sun Dried Music Festival in beautiful downtown Mason, Michigan, August 28–30, 2026! This free, three-day community festival brings together incredible live music, local shopping, delicious food vendors, family-friendly activities, and small-town charm for a weekend of fun for all ages. Safety Drill Reminders

Throughout the school year, students and staff will take part in drills to practice the five actions in the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) which was implemented last year. The SRP uses clear, common language to explain five specific actions that can be taken during an emergency. By standardizing the vocabulary, school district officials, staff, students and emergency responders can understand the actions being taken and status of the event. Drills are an essential part of keeping our school community ready for any situation. By taking part in drills, we: Build familiarity and “muscle memory” through regular practice to help students and staff respond calmly and efficiently Test current procedures and systems and allow us to evaluate and improve our emergency procedures Meet required state safety requirements Create confidence through practice. 25th Mason Holiday Lighted Parade 2026

The Mason Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 25th Mason Holiday Lighted Celebration! We would like to invite you to join us for the tree lighting ceremony where the Citizen of the Year will give the command to light the tree. The holiday parade with its lights all aglow will arrive downtown shortly after the tree lighting. Parade Participant Information Parade staging will take place at Bond Park at Columbia and Rogers. The parade line-up begins at 4:30 p.m. Participates are asked to please arrive for staging by 5:30 p.m. and the parade will step off at 6:15 p.m. All parade units, walkers and participates MUST be lit up. Parade registrants that DO NOT have lights will not be allowed to line up and participate in the parade. This is not only for the enjoyment of our spectators but for the safety for all. To register to be in the parade please click on "Register" and fill in all of the required fields. Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email. If you are a MACC member who would like to be a sponsor, please select your sponsorship package and fill in the required fields or contact the office (517) 676-1046. We would like to thank the City of Mason and Ingham County for their continued partnership with this event. Get your generator or inverter humming and use as many lights as you can on your parade unit so it will light up the night. (No live Santas!) This is not an open parade; registration is required and is limited to the first 40 units registered. There is no fee to be in the parade. By Police Order: NO THROWING CANDY or other items from parade units is permitted. Walkers only may walk to sidelines and hand out candy or other items to spectators. No getting on or off units during the parade. The city and chamber are not liable for any police citations or injuries resulting from violation of this directive. 43rd Spring Fling Courthouse Show - 2027

Registration is NOW OPEN! Join us for one of Mason’s most beloved traditions — our outdoor Spring Fling Courthouse Show, now in its 43rd year! This popular event features 130 vendor lawn spaces and welcomes crafters, artists, food vendors, and more. Vendor Information Booth Fees: Non-Profit Booth - $50 ​MACC Member Booth - $100 MACC Member Two Booths - $175 Non-Member Booth - $125 Non-Member Two Booths - $225 A map with booth locations will be emailed to all registered vendors the week of the event. ​ Deadline to Register: Monday, April 19, 2027 Space Size: 10’ x 10’ lawn space Event Type: Non-juried Setup Requirement: Vendors must set up 18 inches from sidewalks to avoid sprinkler lines. Additional Fees: If your setup exceeds the 10’x10’ space, additional fees will apply. What’s Provided: Lawn space only. No electricity, tables, or canopies provided. ​ Special Space Requests? We’ll do our best to accommodate preferences like sun/shade, flat ground or booth assignments requests. Please include any special requests in the comments section of the registration form or contact the Chamber directly. Two 10'x10' canopies side-by-side do not require a permit. Important Notes This is a RAIN or SHINE event. MACC is not responsible for lost/stolen items, sales, or foot traffic. Doggie Trick-or-Treat 2026

PRESENTED BY: Amanda's Grooming Bring your four-legged friend to a fun filled afternoon of trick or treating around downtown Mason! While the name may say trick or treat, this event is all treats for your dog! There is an $8 pre-registration fee until Friday, October 23rd or $10 registration fee day of our event for each dog. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Ingham County Animal Shelter in Mason. If you do not wish to register online you may register ahead of time at the Mason Area Chamber of Commerce office, 148 E. Ash Street in downtown Mason, 9 AM-2 PM, Tuesday-Friday. Deadline for pre-registration is Friday, October 23rd at 12 PM. All participants will pick up their goodie bag and a map for our trick-or-treating locations at the Mason Area Chamber of Commerce booth on the courthouse lawn after 11:00 AM on Saturday October 24th, 2025. Trick-or-Treating starts at Noon and ends at 2:00 PM. Guidelines for Animals -All Dogs must be leashed -Dogs must be friendly with other dogs/people -PLEASE keep our town clean and pick up after your dog
